At the Nobel Banquet on 10 December the dress code is white tie. We fit, alter and put together the whole outfit with you – to hire, to buy or made to your measurements, on Odengatan in central Stockholm.
The dress code
The Nobel Banquet and the award ceremony before it are strictly formal. For gentlemen that means white tie and tails – not a dinner jacket, not a dark suit. This is what it consists of:
Orders and medals have set places on white tie. Bring them to the fitting and we will help you with placement. According to the guidance on nobelprize.org, national dress is an alternative to white tie and tails.

Allow six to eight weeks from measuring to finished garment, plus time for the intermediate fitting. With a fixed date, book the measuring at least two months ahead – so time is short before 10 December. Call us and ask.
Plan ahead
Three to four weeks before the occasion gives us room to alter without rushing. November and December are high season – come earlier still.
If you are short of time, call us. We will solve it if it can be solved.
In uniform
If the invitation allows uniform, full mess dress corresponds to white tie – it may be worn wherever a tailcoat would be worn in civilian life. We make mess dress to measure for the Swedish Army, Navy, Air Force and Merchant Navy. Uniform work takes longer than civilian garments – book your measuring well ahead.
